This is the day your financially stress-free life really begins!

STEP ONE TO LIVING A FINANCIALLY FREE LIFE -
RESOLVE TO MAKE SOME CHANGES!

I often hear people talk about their struggles and how sick they are of them. More often than not, these are the same people sitting there wallowing in self-pity and doing nothing to change their current situation!

For these folks, I have VERY LITTLE patience.

If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it.  ~Anthony J. D'Angelo, The College Blue Book

Sure, I understand that some people just seem to fall on bad luck, but you don't have to stay there if you don't want. How often can we look back at "bad luck" and truthfully chalk it up to "bone-headed decisions"? The key to moving forward is TRULY doing what it takes to make a change.

Life is the sum of all your choices.  ~Albert Camus

Get a part-time job or two or three to pay off debt - of course, this isn't fun (or maybe it can be) and it takes more time out of your schedule. So, are you going to whine about that too?

Learn to enjoy the little things. Cut your expenses ANYWHERE you can find a place to. STUFF isn't what makes the world go 'round. There are people that live in third-world countries with next to nothing that are happy to just be alive and have a family. Heck, there are people in THIS country that do the same thing. If you want to enjoy material things that's a-ok, just quit basing your self-worth on the value of the stuff you have and by all means, if you can't afford it, don't buy it! Sometimes we have to face the fact that all this STUFF is what got us in the position in the first place! Parting with it may be the only way out!

Start with small changes as to not get discouraged and keep pressing forward. Eventually you will look back and see how far you've come.

Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another.  ~John Dewey

Quit making excuses!

The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own.  No apologies or excuses.  No one to lean on, rely on, or blame.  The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it.  This is the day your life really begins.  ~Bob Moawad

Hold yourself responsible and find an accountability partner (NOT AN ENABLER)!

The person who really wants to do something finds a way; the other person finds an excuse.  ~Author Unknown
