Money Saving Tip of the Day

You're late! You're late! What a waste when you pass the due date!

I understand times are tough, but if you have the money,
QUIT PAYING BILLS LATE!!!!
With each late payment, we're only digging ourselves a deeper hole.

Even if the late fee is only $5/mo when multiplied by 12 you have paid $60 in late fees per year. Multiply in your water, gas, electric, cable, cell phone.... $300 per year!!! Folks that's a car payment.

Speaking of cars, our personal car payment has a $15 late fee if we don't pay on time. Home lease fees can be between $75-$125 each time the rent is late. Mortgages have an average of 5% past due charges. Credit cards average a little over $34 each time the payment comes in after the date on your statement.

Procrastination can really COST so write out those checks and get them in the mail or get to the online payment center before the due date!
