Things have changed a little at Blockbuster.
In order to score FREE movie promo codes, you will need to text the following codes to Blockbuster at 39777. You will receive a text back with a promo code to use on movies, (the discount is $1 and can be used on the $2 and $3 rentals - $1 rentals would be free).
